A new membership-based GP group is expanding, with Moreton Bay to get one of two new medical clinics by the end of this year.
Evercare is adding centres in Marine Pde, Redcliffe and Mitchelton to its first practice, which opened in Clayfield two years ago.
"A number of Evercare Clayfield patients happen to be residents of Redcliffe who make the journey to our original clinic for GP services," Evercare said in a statement.
"An opportunity presented itself to open a clinic in an amazing space within Mon Komo and we are thrilled to be bringing Evercare to the suburb.
"Redcliffe has experienced a significant population increase and has a slightly older resident demographic, meaning a greater need for the accessible and affordable GP care Evercare offers."
Founder and CEO Steven Dahl said the company's growth followed strong community demand for reliable and consistent access to general practice care.
“The membership model we’ve developed at Evercare combines in-person care with modern technology, enabling our medical practitioners to establish more regular and meaningful touchpoints with our patients when they need support most,” Mr Dahl said.
“At a time when finding accessible healthcare that’s affordable is hard to find, our membership model offers convenience and practicality for customers and helps decrease the burden on emergency healthcare systems.”
The Evercare membership - $45 per month for an adult and free for their kids under 16 - provides patients with access to unlimited standard consultations in clinic or via telehealth.
There are no out-of-pocket costs, direct access to patients’ own care team, rapid appointment availability and full digital access to results, referrals and scripts via the Evercare app.
Evercare’s says its Clayfield clinic currently manages 500 appointments a week from its membership base of more than 3000 patients.
