New helicopter hangar for Caboolture Aerodrome
A new shed housing eight helicopters on trailers will be built at Caboolture Aerodrome.
AMT Helicopters will build the 466sqm shed to allow the company to consolidate storage of its 14-helicopter fleet from three sites to two.
It will replace an existing shed that houses two helicopters and is not fully enclosed.
Approval conditions
Moreton Bay Regional Council approved the plan for the shed to be built at 72 Aerodrome Rd at this week’s Council meeting.
About eight helicopters will be stored on aerodrome land, with the remainder at Units 5 and 6, 17/19 Lear Jet Dve.
As part of the approval no repairs, refuelling or maintenance are to be carried out at the Aerodrome Rd shed and no car parking is allowed on aerodrome land.
