New servo plans on major regional route

Plans for a new service station and food outlet on Morayfield Rd have been submitted to Moreton Bay Regional Council.

The development application is for land, just off the Bruce Highway, between the crematorium - on the roundabout - and Gleeson Rd.

Available online, the plans for 610 Morayfield Rd are for a 24-hour-a-day, seven days a week service station with 10 vehicle and one truck refuelling points.

The service station would have a floor area of 290sqm of the block and food outlet 230sqm.

Images, used in the application, are an indication of design only.

There would be an additional 21 dedicated parking spots at the service station proposed for the front of the block.

In the development application, lodged late last month, it says figures from 2021 estimated 20,000 vehicles a day passed the site.

The application says the service station would provide convenience for current road users and residents as well as future residents of the large Morayfield South development.

“There is a need for convenience food and fuel in this location,” says to the application.
