New name, same legacy: Northpine Adventist College enters its next chapter

Northpine Adventist College may be a new name in the Moreton Bay region, but the integrity, values and legacy of one of the area’s oldest schools are well established.

Formerly known as Northpine Christian College, the school traces its history back to 1953 and officially unveiled its new name, colours, logo and branding in January following two years of careful planning. The change aligns the Prep to Year 12 college at Dakabin with the Adventist system which encompasses schools, churches and aged care services across Australia and around the world.

“We are still the same school with the same amazing educational experiences and the same christian values,” said Principal Jeanette Martin.

“What has changed is our visual identity. We now present a fresh, contemporary look that aligns us clearly with the wider Adventist organisation as part of one cohesive corporate group.”

Community consultation played a key role in shaping the refreshed identity. From this feedback, the college introduced four core values - Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence - collectively known as RISE, along with a new college motto, Together We Rise.

For decades, Northpine Adventist College has offered families a longstanding private school option in the region, earning a strong reputation for quality education while remaining among the more affordable independent schools in Moreton Bay and beyond.

Academically, the college continues to perform at a high level. In 2025, ATAR results placed Northpine Adventist College among the top three schools in the Moreton Bay region, with outstanding outcomes including 100 per cent QCE success. Of eligible students:

  • 17 per cent achieved an ATAR of 95 or above
  • 43 per cent gained 90 or above
  • 78 per cent achieved an ATAR of 80 or higher
“Our focus remains firmly on holistic education,” Mrs Martin said.

“We aim to develop capable students who serve their community and go on to become valuable contributors to society.”

Set on four hectares on Hughes Road East, the college continues to prioritise its Christian faith through daily worship, prayer and Bible studies in class, as well as service-learning opportunities and mission trips.

Alongside this strong foundation, the campus has seen significant improvements in recent years. A new school building, officially opening May 18th, now houses specialist art and photography studios, modern classrooms, primary staff room, and expanded sports facilities. The Early Learning Centre has undergone a full refurbishment, the tennis courts feature a new roof, and science laboratories were upgraded three years ago alongside new signage across the college grounds.

Students are also preparing to bring the stage to life with the musical Esther, based on the biblical story of an orphaned Jewish girl who becomes Queen of Persia.

Performances will take place starting Saturday, July 25, from 7.00 to 9.30pm at the college’s performing arts centre. Tickets can be purchased here.

Later in the year, the annual Big Camp at Watson Park on September 18th next to the college grounds, offers children and adults a safe and engaging environment that combines activities, excursions, worship, Christian based workshops and community programs.

The college is supported by a dedicated chaplaincy team, with five chaplains providing pastoral care and a wide range of services. These include a week of worship, a bi-annual student service trip to Cambodia supporting community development projects, and fundraising initiatives for local causes. Alongside this, annual service trips to rural communities are undertaken.

Northpine Adventist College’s story spans more than seven decades. While the name has evolved, its purpose has not. The college enters this new chapter grounded in tradition, confident in its identity, and committed to helping students rise together.
