Caboolture Snakes Junior Rugby League Club is gearing up for another big season at Centenary Lakes.

Registrations were, at the time of writing, already approaching 500 and closing in on last season’s final tally of 558.

Stephen Archer was there to photographer those signing-on and at the come-and-try sessions.

The delayed return to school may have led to a slow start, but Snakes' President Nate Findlay said a spike in registrations followed.

Fields affected

Plans have been delayed by the recent wild weather which has forced the club to close its fields for training.

Snakes were keeping a close eye on the Under 12 and Under 15 age groups, which both already have two teams, and working towards a third.

Senior teams will play Division One and Two in the Sunshine Coast competition when fixtures get under way.

Snakes are also hoping this season to get have new dugouts installed on field two and a grandstand on field three.
