Police appeal into fatal crash

The Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal traffic crash at Elimbah yesterday.

Initial information indicates around 4.20am a 2015 Kia Cerato was travelling along Bigmor Drive before striking a power pole. A fire then engulfed the vehicle.

The driver and single occupant of the vehicle was declared deceased at the scene, according to Police.

Formal identification of the deceased is yet to be undertaken, however, officers believe it to be a man in his 20s.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone with relevant information or video footage to come forward.
