Redcliffe Police are appealing for “dash cam or any recordings” of an alleged robbery yesterday around 5.20pm at a shopping area in Dakabin.

A 21-year-old Wavell Heights man was leaving the shops on Alma Road, when an unknown man allegedly got into the back seat of his 2009 black Mazda 3 sedan.

It is alleged the offender slapped the 21-year-old man and threatened him to drive him somewhere.

It is further alleged as the car approached Boundary Rd, the offender tried to push the driver out of the car and steal his vehicle.

This allegedly resulted in the car swerving, hitting a guard rail and stopping. The alleged offender ran towards the Bruce Highway. The driver had minor injuries.

Police arrived a short time later but were unable to find the alleged offender.
