Police round-up: thieves steal jewellery, passports
Driving charges
A vehicle was taken from a carport at Donnybrook after keys were removed from the home.
Someone entered the Grant Lane home between 10pm on August 8 and 5am on August 9 through an unlocked front door before using the keys to take the vehicle, which was found in Lawson St, Caboolture at 1pm on August 9.
A 25-year-old man from Deception Bay was found with the vehicle and charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary and unlicensed driving.
The man is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates court on September 21.
Jewellery stolen
Ningi
Jewellery, cash, sunglasses and a watch were stolen after a fly screen was removed and a window jemmied to gain entry at Ningi.
Residents returned to the Treefrog St home at 7.30pm on August 10 to find their house had been broken into in the short time they were out.
Banksia Beach
Burglars forced open a safe before stealing jewellery, cash and passports from a house at Banksia Beach last week.
They smashed a glass panel to gain entry to the Freshwater Drive home between 5.45pm and 9.15pm.
Police are keen to hear from anyone in the area about 7.40pm who saw two people acting suspiciously.
Dangerous driving charges
A 53-year-old man from Chermside West was charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle after a traffic incident on Samsonvale Rd at Warner on August 10.
Police received reports of a vehicle driving erratically on South Pine Rd, Albany Creek on August 10 about 11.25am.
They visited the area and issued the driver with a Notice to Appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on September 12.
Wilful damage
Police are looking for three youths, thought to be aged between 13 and 15, who were seen in bushland at the back of a Beachmere house by the owner on August 9.
Rocks were thrown at the house between 5pm and 5.30pm, smashing a window at the side of the Ocean Place residence.
