Police spread cheer at Christmas

Police from Caboolture and Deception Bay will be spreading Christmas cheer this year and are hoping the community will pitch in to help.

For the past years Caboolture police have donate presents to local children during their Christmas visit to local streets.

Moreton Community Engagement Officer Jo Arthur says Santa will be making a special visit to Caboolture on Thursday, December 21.

“There is nothing more rewarding than bringing smiles to faces and with Christmas fast approaching, it is all hands on deck for deliveries,” Senior-Constable Arthur says.

How you can help

“A police car playing Christmas carols usually means we are out and about.”

Senior-Constable Arthur says that in the past, kind members of the Caboolture community have dropped presents off to the Caboolture Police Station.

“We know things are a little tougher this year but if you can spare a few dollars to put towards a small gift for our local children, we would sincerely appreciate it.”

Donations can be delivered to the Caboolture Station before December 21.

“Deception Bay Station is also doing a Santa run this year, so if you are closer to that area and wish to donate, they will happily accept your generosity,” Senior-Constable Arthur says.
