Program to help hospitality sector in Moreton Bay
Published 9:02am 11 February 2025
In a bid to strengthen the city’s cafés, restaurants, and licensed venues, Moreton Bay City Council has launched the Master Your Food Business program.
The program is being delivered by industry leaders The Coffee Commune and Crunch, in collaboration with The Hospitality Company.
Mayor Peter Flannery says the City of Moreton Bay is renowned as a foodie destination with countless fantastic hospitality venues.
“Master your Food Business is just one part of the $1 million City of Moreton Bay Business Boost initiative which is designed to support and grow the city’s small business community,” Mayor Flannery says.
“Supporting our hospitality sector has countless flow on benefits, from adding to our great liveability, to providing even more reasons for visitors to come and enjoy the hospitality of Moreton Bay.
Renowned industry experts Phillip Di Bella, founder of The Coffee Commune, and James O’Connell, founder of The Hospitality Company, will deliver training and mentorship to help local cafés, restaurants and licensed venues optimise their operations, reduce costs, and build sustainable business models.
“Our proven track record in the coffee industry, combined with our comprehensive training methodology, will provide participating businesses with the tools they need to thrive in today’s competitive market,” James says.
“We fully engage with everything that shapes the frontline experience for owners, managers, employees, and the customer.”
