Realtors raise bar for Tea time

Two real estate agencies have raised the bar to support the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea this week.

Sisters Nadine Wilkie and Bonnie Worth, who both run Raine & Horne agencies in this region, are aiming to raise $1000 at Thursday’s fundraiser.

Nadine and Tony Wilkie are owners/principals of Raine & Horne North Lakes, Bonnie Worth is owner/principal of Raine & Horne Eatons Hill/Albany Creek.

The event will be held at Raine & Horne North Lakes - at Shop 1A, 27 Discovery Dr, North Lakes, from 10am-noon.

Coffee and tasty treats will be served and raffle tickets available for more than 40 prizes which have been donated to the cause.

“The event is close to our hearts, especially this year having close friends pass by breast cancer,” Nadine Wilkie said.

Last year’s inaugural event started with a target of $300 but rose to $700 and was still climbing as the day approached.

The Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Over the last three decades more than 500,000 teas have been held.

More than $2.3 million was raised in 2022 and more than 20,000 teas have been registered for this year.
