Ten Redcliffe players have an additional reason to celebrate the New Year, sharing a million-dollar division one prize from the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $30 Million Megadraw.
The store syndicate held one of the 19 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw. Each division one winning entry scored $1,578,947.37. At the time of writing, three of the winners are still yet to come forward.
In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s System 9 entry also won division three 18 times, division four 45 times, and division six 20 times, bolstering the total prize to $1,596,016.92.
Thrilled at win
Each member of the 10-strong syndicate receives a share worth $159,601.70. Entries were sold at Midway News, 544 Oxley Ave, Redcliffe.
Midway News owners Gary Gommers and Erica Benci say they are thrilled for the syndicate.
“I started shaking when I first saw we’d sold a division one winning syndicate,” Erica said.
“I couldn’t believe it! I had to triple check the results screen. We’re beyond excited about this win. We’ve been hanging out for this since the last division one win eight years ago.
“It’s brought lots of smiles to us and our customers. A big congratulations to all our syndicate members.”
Check today
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart says anyone who bought an entry in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $30 Million Megadraw should check their entry.
“While many of the Midway News syndicate members registered their entries to a player card, others may have yet to discover they’re part of this winning group,” he said.
“After the twists and turns of 2020, could there be any better way of starting 2021 than by sharing a division one prize?
Uniting call
“We can’t wait to unite all the syndicate members with their windfalls, so today’s the day to check those tickets lying around the home, car and anywhere else.
“If you think you’re part of this winning Redcliffe group, contact us immediately on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.”
