Three members of the Redcliffe Leagues Softball Association have been selected for the Queensland Under 18 squad for the national titles.

Tallulah Civoniceva, Codi Doma and Tayla Evans were chosen after strong performances at the state championships in Kippa-Ring over the weekend.

Redcliffe beat Rockhampton/Mackay/Gladstone 8-1 and finished the tournament fourth overall.

The Redcliffe Under 18 Boys’ finished bottom of their ladder in Ipswich but never let their heads drop throughout the competition.

Lessons learned

“The teams may be a little down on themselves because they feel they could have done better,” Redcliffe President Carrie Te Wani said.

“To that I say - you can't win them all but you can learn from the lessons, work hard and come back bigger and better and that's exactly what they will do.

“I'm so very proud of each and every player and official that was involved in last weekend. I can't wait to see where they go next.”
