During Queensland Road Safety Week, the community can enjoy ‘Coffee with a Cop’ and learn more about safer driving at free events across the City of Moreton Bay.
The annual statewide campaign, which runs from August 18-22, aims to raise awareness about road safety and promote safer driving habits.
During the week, Moreton District Police, partner agencies and businesses will host the following Coffee with a Cop events:
Monday, August 18
- Shingle Inn – Strathpine Shopping Centre
- 9-11am
- 295 Gympie Rd, Strathpine
Tuesday, August 19
- Café Bella – Bribie Island Central
- 9-10.30am
- 239-255 Goodwin Drive, Bongaree
Wednesday, August 20
- The Shed/Hycraft Automotive – Clontarf
- 9-11am
- 65 Snook St, Clontarf
Thursday, August 21
- Muffin Break – Morayfield Shopping Centre
- 10-11am
- 171 Morayfield Rd, Morayfield
Friday, August 22
- San Churro North Lakes – Westfields North Lakes

Data shows that serious crashes can be significantly reduced when drivers recognise and avoid the ‘Fatal Five’ behaviours: speeding, drink and drug driving, not wearing seatbelts, fatigue and distraction.
