Roar to play upcoming season at Redcliffe

Brisbane Roar will play its home fixtures in the upcoming A-League and W-League season at Dolphin Stadium. The announcement comes as memberships go on sale this week.

Brisbane Roar 2020/21 Full-Season Memberships will be on sale at noon on Friday, October 30.

In a message to members, the club said it would be playing its A-League fixtures at Dolphin Stadium for the coming season along with a number of W-League Matches either as double headers or standalone fixtures.

“The club makes these decisions after taking into account the current economic climate as well as ensuring the Club can best serve its players, coaches, staff, sponsors, and most importantly, our dedicated members and fans across Queensland, Australia and internationally,” the club said.

“Brisbane Roar will always be a team for all of Queensland no matter if you live in the north, south, east or west of our great state, or you’re among the 100s of thousands of supporters across Australia and around the world.”

On the pitch

The club is excited to continue its A-League pre-season preparations, and will make a number of significant announcements around its W-League team in the coming weeks.

“Our players, coaches and staff and the club need your continued support as a Brisbane Roar member this season,” the club said.

“With Queensland Health restrictions on stadium capacities still in place, don’t miss out on ensuring you see every minute of our season as a 2020/21 member.”

Benefits of being a member

“Being a Brisbane Roar member, is more than a seat at a stadium on a Saturday afternoon. As a Brisbane Roar 2020/21 member, your contributions enable the club to grow,” the club said.

“These important contributions support our A-League and Westfield W-League teams, our Academy programs and allows the club to be a continued leader in our community programs, football clubs and schools right across Queensland while supporting the people behind the scenes who serve our members, partners and fans every day.”

As a result of the tough economic situation facing many, Brisbane Roar has restructured its membership pricing.

Adult Memberships have been reduced by up to 45%, reflecting the current economic climate and disruptions that impacted members towards the end of the previous season.

“We hold a commitment to ensure our memberships are affordable and accessible to everyone. Brisbane Roar Football Club, as a direct result of the pandemic, has experienced a 40% reduction in revenues whilst the Club continues to support staff and players through the toughest period in the Club’s history,” the club said.

“The Club is thankful for the continued support of all its dedicated sponsors, led by Principal Partner ActronAir. Their commitment and your support has seen over 90% of our sponsors retained for the coming seasons.”
