See the photos: Dolphins lose thriller against Warriors

A brave Dolphins’ NRL team came close to upsetting the second-placed Warriors at Suncorp Stadium this afternoon.

The Warriors prevailed in a thriller, which came down to the final few minutes, winning 16-12 in front of a big crowd.

The visitors were ahead 10-0 at half-time after dominating in attack but the Dolphins evened up the stats in the second half, mounting a fight-back which came very close to coming off.

The round 11 game, which saw officials disallow three tries and award one to the Warriors after what appeared to be a knock-on, had fans on the edge of their seats.

The Dolphins will nervously wait for results of scans on Tom Gilbert, who suffered a suspected pectoral injury while attempting to make a tackle.

It comes after he’s made his return to the playing field this year following back-to-back season-ending injuries in the past two seasons.
