Sights set on nationals

Twenty-one members of PK Taekwondo, based in North Lakes, are celebrating after qualifying for the 2025 National Championships.

All earned places with medals with medal-winning displays at the Australian Taekwondo Queensland (ATQ) State Selections.

PK Taekwondo brought home 12 gold, eight silver and six bronze medals from the event at Morayfield Sports Centre on Sunday.

The number of national qualifiers is believed to be a record for the club.

Daham Warakaulle: Silver medals in Poomsae and Sparring - qualified for nationals

Evan Lim: Silver medal in Sparring - qualified for nationals

Liam Sevenster: Bronze medal in Sparring - qualified for nationals

Jumi Nam: Bronze medal in Sparring - qualified for nationals

Ethan Lin: Bronze medal in Sparring - qualified for nationals

Jayden Song: Silver medal in Sparring

Kayla Park: medical exemption - qualified for nationals

PK Taekwondo’s team at Morayfield included head coach Kangho Park and Anuke Warakaulle, Kirk Russell, Alan Garland, Lorna Russell, Seunghun Nam, Daniel Pico, Chris Hinton

The National Championships will be at SA Stadium, Adelaide, from October 3-5.
