Celebrated Olympic and paralympic athletes will be keynote speakers at a Champions of Business event in North Lakes later this month.
Cycling legend Anna Mears and swimming stars Cate Campbell and Brenden Hall are guests at the Brisbane 2032 Leadership Event.
They will be joined by national business leader Dominique Lamb and RDA Brisbane CEO Nicole Dugaid for “an afternoon of inspiration, insight and connection”.
Hosted by Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce, Pine Rivers Chamber of Commerce and Business Chamber North Lakes, the event is at North Lakes Hotel on Tuesday May 26, noon-2pm.
Anna Mears, the first Australian athlete to win medals and four successive Olympic Games, will give a major speech on resilience and building high-performance teams.
Mears speaks from experience having also won world titles, managed the 2022 Australian Commonwealth Games team and being chef de mission at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The panel discussion will feature Cate Campbell who won more than 20 gold medals at the Olympics, World Championships, Pan Pacific Championships and Commonwealth Games.
Also Brenden Hall, who lived and trained in Moreton on his way to 12 golds from Paralympics, World Championships and Commonwealth Games, as well as world records.
And Dominique Lamb who was Queensland Small Business Commission until late last year and is a key figure in planning the 2032 Brisbane Olympics and Paralympics.
Organisers say guests will get insights into high-performance leadership and how Brisbane 2032 creates opportunity for Moreton Bay businesses.
