Tech and art classes for seniors

Learn about email filing, attachments, rules, out of office replies and signatures at a technology session organised by the Hills and Districts Chamber of Commerce seniors’ committee next month.

Chairperson Judith Heindorf says the committee drives initiatives to engage the energy and talents of seniors for the Chamber and general community’s benefit, with activities not just for seniors and not just for Hills Chamber members.

Graham “The Tech Tutor” McDermott will lead the session focusing on emails on February 8 from 10.30am-12.30pm.

Graham’s sessions, which aim to help seniors build a better relationship with technology are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Arana Leagues Club.

Each session is limited to 12 participants and costs $15.

Julie provides lessons in a mix of media and styles and participants can bring their own art materials or use those supplied.

Other activities on the agenda for the month include board games and cards mornings, accompanied by coffee or tea.
