Townhouse plan for Anzac Ave block

Plans have been submitted to build 45 townhouses on land backing on to Anzac Ave at Mango Hill.

The development application (DA), lodged with Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC), is for a 9320sqm block at 1938 Anzac Ave.

It is between the intersection of Kinsellas Rd West and Diamond Jubilee Way and the recently rebranded Caltex Mango Hill service station.

Road access would be via Lamington Rd, which MBRC has plans to extend to Anzac Ave, as a second exit from Mango Hill Village.

However, there would be pedestrian access to Anzac Ave between two of the blocks.

If approved, the new townhouses would all be two storeys high, have four bedrooms and two car parking spaces - in a double garage or single garage and driveway space.

Each property would have private open space ranging from 25sqm to 144sqm, while the development would have more than 3000sqm of landscaping, according to the DA.

A $72 million North Lakes Eco Lifestyle Precinct is being planned for land nearby on the corner of Diamond Jubilee Way and Anzac Ave.

It is expected to be open in 2026, meeting a growing need for hotel accommodation ahead of an expected influx of visitors for the 2032 Olympic Games.

The five-storey, 112-room hotel and precinct, by Maple Development Group, will combine environmental awareness and education, community connections and healthy lifestyles.
