Unique dance group to celebrate 3 years
Dance group No Lights No Lycra (NLNL) Morayfield is set to celebrate its third birthday on May 29.
The group focuses on dance and mindful movement without judgement.
What makes the group unique is that they dance in a darkened room, so all patrons can see is the silhouettes of other dancers.
No Lights No Lycra Morayfield host and ambassador Teena Andrews says she is extremely excited for the three-year anniversary event.
“We have a promotion night planned specifically for May 29 with a reduced entry fee of $5 because we want as many as possible to be able to join in on the fun and celebrations,” she says.
“We will have a playlist of great dance tunes and there will be cupcakes for our dancers to enjoy when they leave.
“We will have a lucky door prize on the night where one dancer can win one of our Multi Dance Passes which gives them five free dances for future use.”
NLNL Morayfield started up with a very small following three years ago and has since grown exponentially.
“It feels fabulous (to celebrate three years),” Teena says.
“We started up with a very small following three years ago and I have since opened up the other four venues in the different areas as an extension of what we do in Morayfield.
“I am still absolutely passionate about providing a safe and welcoming space for anyone to come and let loose for the hour.
"We encourage a fun and healthy lifestyle choice that requires nothing more than turning up at our door - no judgement, no routines to learn, no pressure and no fuss.
“There's no lights and Lycra is actually optional. It’s just music and dancing in the dark and we LOVE it.”
