Win tickets to NRLW Grand Final at Moreton Daily Stadium

Here’s your chance to be part of the action when the Roosters and Dragons battle it out for the NRLW premiership trophy at Moreton Daily Stadium this weekend.

Thanks to the NRLW we are giving away 10 double passes to the game which kicks off at 1.30pm on Sunday, April 10 at Moreton Daily Stadium, Redcliffe. Two lucky winners will also enjoy the full fan experience - watching the two teams run onto the field before kick-off and receiving a free Grand Final Women’s Premiership event T-shirt.

COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED - The winners have been contacted.

The Grand Final will be a battle of two foundation clubs who defied the odds to secure their places in the 2021 NRL Telstra Women’s Premiership finale.

The Roosters came back from 16-0 to beat three-time champions the Broncos (22-16) at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday.

While the Dragons, who many wrote-off this season after losing 10 of their players from the 2020 campaign this year, took care of newcomers the Titans 24-18.

Two foundation players at both the Roosters (Corban Baxter) and Dragons (Kezie Apps) will lead their sides in this Sunday’s decider.

This year’s competition, postponed last year, featured three new teams and semi-finals for the first time. And this weekend’s standalone NRLW Grand Final will be held in the greater Brisbane area for the first time.

NRL Chief Executive Andrew Abdo says he is pleased Queensland will host the 2021 NRLW Grand Final after hosting the men’s event last year.

“2021 will forever be remembered as the year the game relocated to Queensland and it’s fitting that the 2021 Telstra Women’s Premiership will be played in Queensland for the first time. I want to thank the Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Council for their ongoing support of rugby league,” Mr Abdo says.

Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Peter Flannery says the game will inject $1 million into the local economy and bring 11,500 passionate rugby league fans to the region.

“I’m truly proud that Moreton Bay will help make women’s sporting history by hosting the first ever standalone NRLW Grand Final at Moreton Daily Stadium,” he says.

“These female athletes have shown for several years that they are a force to be reckoned with on a national level with their remarkable talent and passion for the game, so it’s only fitting that they now have their moment in the spotlight.”
