Woolworths has been announced as the anchor tenant of Griffin’s new Freshwater Village development.

The supermarket giant, which has worked with developer Wattle Run through the planning stages, is expected to open in late 2026.

Woolworths’ new outlet will be a 3314sqm full-line supermarket with a full range of groceries, fresh meat, bakery, deli, frozen goods, fresh fruit, and vegetables.

While the range has yet to be confirmed, neighbourhood stores usually offer locally produced fresh food and everyday pantry supplies.

There will also be a BWS liquor in the Freshwater Village foyer entry and a Piazza for alfresco dining and entertainment.

Health services and a medical centre will join them, with further announcements expected in the near future.

Wattle Run had envisaged an 18-month build starting in mid-2025.
