Entries are now open and close at 10am on September 7. The winner will be notified by email at 10am on September 7 and will have until 10am on September 8 to claim their prize.

The Nintendo Switch (console only – games and accessories not included in the prize) is the latest technology from one of the world’s biggest gaming brands, and they’re perfect for Nintendo lovers of all ages. The consoles are easy to set up and truly versatile.

The program for the 2021 event will feature crowd favourites including the KiteFest Kidz Zone, Kids Karnival, Kite Flying Arena, Public Kite Flying Zone, Ocean Zone, food, market stalls and more.

Stars of the small screen, Bluey and Bingo will headline the entertainment on the Sesame Lane Main Stage, performing two shows each day of the event.

Redcliffe KiteFest is organised by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT) and Kites Queensland in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council through funding from Tourism and Events Queensland.

Mayor Peter Flannery says it is a one-of-a-kind event and true spectacle to behold.

“We’re all looking for an excuse to party, so you’d better get in and get your tickets quick,” he says.

“If you’ve never been to KiteFest before, I promise there’s no better place to be in South East Queensland than the sparkling blue waters of Moreton Bay on a clear spring day with a kaleidoscope of kites in the sky.”

Family fun awaits

MBRIT Chairman Shane Newcombe says it is the ultimate family weekend, with activities, stage shows and thrills to excite all members of the family.

“The addition of the very popular Bluey to this year’s program takes the event to new heights and we can’t wait,” Mr Newcombe says.

“Tickets are on sale now and we’re encouraging everyone to book online to save themselves time and money.”

Tickets bought online are $10 adult (16+ years) + booking fee; $5 child (3-15 years)/concession + booking fee; $25 family pass (two adults and two children or one adult and three children) + booking fee; and admission is free for children two years and under.

All pre-purchased ticket holders will go into the draw to win a Golden Ticket – the ultimate Festival experience – thanks to Sesame Lane.

Limited tickets will be available for purchase at the gate for a higher fee. These prices are $15 adult; $7 child\concession; $35 family.

Redcliffe KiteFest sponsors include Sesame Lane Care and Kindergarten, Kites Queensland, Tourism and Events Queensland, USC, Channel 9, Triple M, B105 and Strathpine Centre.
