Posted: 9am 26 Apr 2022

Hundreds turned out before dawn at Bribie Island yesterday to pay their respects to the ANZACs, with the service starting at 4.28am - the time the first soldiers went ashore at Gallipoli in 1915.

Beachmere remembered yesterday, in the rain, with hundreds of people joining the ANZAC Day morning parade and service at the Remembrance Memorial for a moving commemoration on the 106th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings.

The rain did nothing to dampen ANZAC Day in Caboolture which saw the return of the morning parade before the Main Service. Thousands lined the streets, marched and took part in the service.
