Info sessions for North Pine dam
Published 12:00pm 26 July 2024
Drop-in community sessions are being held over the next nine days for those wanting more information about Seqwater’s dam improvement program.
North Pine Dam, which stores drinking water for Moreton Bay and north Brisbane, will undergo more than $69 million of strengthening work.
The staged work, to start next year, will see the installation of more than 60 post-tensioned anchors into the dam wall.
Anchors will range from 42-94 metres in length and add up to 100,000 tonnes of weight into the wall ahead of major planned dam upgrades.
Sessions to speak to Seqwater staff will be held on:
- Saturday July 27, 9am-noon: McGavin View Park
- Thursday August 1, 4-7pm: Marketplace Warner Shopping Centre
- Sunday August 4, 9am-1pm: Old Petrie Town Sunday Market
