Learn all about “the Cloud”, including how to use One Drive, iCloud and Google Drive in a session on at the Arana Leagues Club on Wednesday, April 12 from 10.30am-12.30pm.
Led by Graham “The Tech Tutor” McDermott, the class is aimed at anyone who has not used cloud storage services before and would like to or those who use cloud storage and would like to learn about sharing files with others.
It will cover what “the Cloud” is and why to use it, how to connect, unloading and downloading files and sharing files with others securely.

Get creative at free art classes held every Friday at The Hills District PCYC at Everton Park.
Teacher Julie delivers lessons in a mix of media and styles.
Bring along your own supplies or use those provided and enjoy learning new skills in a friendly group.
The classes are held from 10am-noon.

How to spot a scam
Scams cost Australian consumers, businesses, and the economy hundreds of millions of dollars each year and cause serious emotional harm to victims and their families.
Learn how to recognise scams in a free session conducted by Jo Dickson from the Bank of Queensland.
Jo will talk about what to be aware of in emails, texts and phone calls, as well as clues to look for in ‘unknown’ messages.
The session is on Thursday, May 4 from 10.30-11.30am in the outside area of the Arana Leagues Club.

The Seniors’ Committee of the Hills and Districts Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Twilight Years Expo on Friday, May 26 with the theme “As the sun goes down the fun begins”
The expo’s emphasis will be on enhancing life and living in the twilight years and linking a wide range of community organisations with the retired population.
Exhibitors at the event at The Hills District PCYC are still being finalised, but include the Enoggera and Samford historical societies, Burnie Bray, Brisbane Greeters, Samford Quilters and the Arana Hills Library.
