The Mini Farm Project is launching an online fundraiser to support its existing farms, set up a new one in the Caboolture region and help create 40,000 meals.

‘Nourishing Hope, Faith, and Charity in Uncertain Times’ will be on Wednesday June 7, 6.30-8pm with a panel of guest speakers. Click here to book a place.

Panellists include Councillor Brooke Savige, Von Barnes from Pinnacle Properties, Pastor Matt Prater of New Hope Church, Pastor Phil Cutcliffe from Springfield Christian Family Church and Joshua Plumb of Nexus Care.

The charity, which grows and donates food to groups in the Moreton Bay Region and beyond, is aiming to attract 10,000 supporters online.

This will help the Mini Farm Project at Samford, Loganlea State High School and set-up its new farm in Wamuran. There are also plans to open in Coolum.

“The Mini Farm Project is taking a stand against food insecurity by embarking on a mission to establish a new charity farm,” Mini Farm founder and CEO Nick Steiner said.

“This farm will serve as a beacon of hope, providing free meals to those in need throughout the year.

“By participating in this event, attendees will not only gain valuable insights but also contribute to this essential cause.”

The Mini Farm Project supports charitable organisations such as Global Care, Breakfast Club Redcliffe, Caboolture Community Action, Freedom Church on Bribie Island and Meals on Wheels Moreton Bay.

However, demand for its services exceeds capacity to provide enough food. The Mini Farm Project also faces challenges funding farms quick enough to bridge the gap.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of those in need,” said Mr Steiner, Moreton Bay’s Citizen of the Year 2023.

“By joining this inspiring evening, you will not only gain invaluable insights but also contribute to the fight against hunger and food insecurity.”

For those unable to attend the live event, a replay will be made available.
