Nominations for the 2022 Moreton Bay Business & Innovation Awards are now open.
It’s an earlier start this year, but with more categories to celebrate the achievements of businesses and individuals across the region.
The awards are free to enter and nominations in the 15 categories (listed below) will be open until 11.59pm on July 17.
Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) CEO Shane Newcombe urged businesses of all sizes to enter.
“With the effects of COVID, and now floods, still being felt by our region’s businesses, there is no better time to celebrate their resilience, innovation and successes,” Mr Newcombe says.
“Our small and medium businesses are the heart and soul of our region.
“It is more important than ever to acknowledge these businesses that contribute to our region’s economy and provide jobs for local people.”
MBRIT and Moreton Bay Regional Council have provided resources to help business owners and individuals understand what judges are looking for and how to write a quality submission.
Mayor Peter Flannery is thrilled the event is back for its fifth year running and proud to announce three new award categories.
“It’s great we are able to further recognise the incredible business achievements in the new categories - Accessibility & Inclusiveness, Corporate Social Responsibility and Marketing Excellence,” he said.
“There is an abundance of support available both online and in person for individuals and local businesses interested in submitting a nomination.
“Nominee Briefing Sessions can be booked through the Moreton Bay Business & Innovation Awards Facebook page and there’s a wealth of information available on the awards website.”
