Words by Kylie Knight

Everyone can let the dogs out on Sunday, April 16, when North Harbour hosts a special day for the four-legged members of the family and their humans.

Pooch Party in the Park is at Habitat Park, Denham Pl, Burpengary East, from 9am-noon.

Your pooch can discover their creativity, painting an artwork on canvas, with the help of Puppy Picasso.

Humans and dogs can wander through pet-themed market stalls, watch demonstrations by Caboolture Sports Dog Obedience Club or simply relax outdoors.

There will also be face painting for the young or young at heart, a free sausage sizzle and coffee van.

Habitat Park at Denham Pl is one of five parks in North Harbour currently open. The developer is building an all-abilities park to be opened this year. Each park is designed for a different age group and visitors can wander to them via linked pathways.
