Colour Frenzy returns to North Lakes with a big explosion of fun
Published 4:00pm 11 August 2022
A rainbow explosion is set to hit the parklands around Lake Eden this month as the hugely popular Colour Frenzy fun run returns to Moreton Bay.
Hundreds of people will be showered in coloured powder when they take part in the event at North Lakes on Saturday, August 27.
People of all ages, plus their furry four-legged friends, can walk, jog or run the course, where they will start off squeaky clean and then look like they have passed through a rainbow when they reach the finish line.
This will be the fifth year Colour Frenzy has been held in the region, with organiser Clayton Bielby saying this year a little something extra will be added.
Clayton says the North Lakes event will be the first time the organisation has hosted a Glow Edition fun run, meaning once the sun sets the powder will glow under the UV lights that will be set up at the four colour stations.
There will also be a foam station with a river of bubbles, two new obstacles stations with inflatables, games, markets, food vans, music and more!
People of all ages are invited to attend, with Clayton saying they can also cater for prams and wheelchairs with the fun run taking part on the pathways surrounding beautiful Lake Eden.
Helping pets find their forever homes
Money raised from the event will be donated at SHAMROQ Dog Rescue (Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute Rescue of Queensland Inc).
They are a non-profit and charitable organisation dedicated to the rescue, care, welfare and rehoming of northern dog breeds such as Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, Shiba Inu, Siberian Huskies and crosses of these breeds.
Ticket prices
Tickets to the North Lakes event are $39.50 for adults, $17.50 for kids aged between 5-12, and $5 for children under 5. A booking fee also applies.
Event details
The event will open at 5pm with the fun run beginning at 6pm.
Participants can choose to complete one, two or three laps, with three laps equating to 5km.
