A 52-year-old Deception Bay woman has been fined $321 after her vehicle crashed into a North Lakes house on Saturday morning.

The incident happened just after 8am and police believe she mistakenly accelerated while going over a speed bump on Bass Court.

The woman was the sole occupant and was uninjured, while the residents were not home at the time.

Car stolen

A 2010 Hyundai was stolen from a Bray Park house after thieves gained entry to the Baker St property.

Police say there was no sign of forced entry, but the intruders were believed to have entered through the front door between 9pm on June 5 and 4am on June 6.

They took a handbag and a set of keys, which were used to steal a white Hyundai ix35 bearing the registration plates 002-MZE

Tools taken

Tools valued about $10,000 were taken from a Morayfield construction site late last week.

Thieves entered the business premises, which are under construction on Morayfield Rd, between 6pm on June 3 and 6am on June 4.

It’s not known how they entered the property before taking Makita, Milwaukee and Dewalt power tools and accessories, along with two CPI laser levels.

Vandals damage house

A window was smashed and a garage door damaged after vandals threw rocks at a North Lakes house.

The offenders attacked the Davenport Parade house between 10pm on June 4 and midnight on June 5, smashing a window next to the front door and denting the garage door.

Rocks were found on the driveway.

Window smashed

Vandals smashed a car window and dented the bonnet of a car parked on Northquarter Dve at Murrumba Downs at the weekend.

The vehicle was parked outside the property when it was damaged, leaving the rear passenger window broken, as well as scratches and dents across the roof and bonnet.

The damage happened between 7pm on June 4 and 3pm on June 5.
