Crime round-up: Drugs charges; cars stolen

Opportunistic thieves helped themselves to an array of fishing equipment at the Wamuran property between June 4 and June 8.

They stole two Lowrance chart plotters, fishing rods, reels and other fishing equipment from the Alabama Court address.

The equipment was stored in a covered boat in a carport, prompting police to urge people to remove gear even if the craft is parked in a yard and off the street.

Two charged over car theft

A Caboolture man and a Rush Creek woman have been charged with a range of offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, after a car was stolen from Kangaroo Point.

The Volkswagon Golf was stolen from a Kangaroo Point address between 10pm and 10.30pm on June 6.

About 1.33pm on Wednesday, June 8 police saw the stolen vehicle travelling on Dayboro Rd at Whiteside.

They lost sight of the vehicle but after conducting patrols of properties, it was found at a Rush Creek Rd property and a 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, possession of dangerous drugs, failure to dispose of a syringe and unlawful possession of suspected stolen property and is due in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on June 29.

A 22-year-old Rush Creek woman was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and will appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on June 26.

Motorcycle stolen

A motorcycle was stolen from Dakabin Railway Station on June 8.

The bike, a 2017 black DR-Z400SM Suzuki motorcycle with Queensland registration 455WZ was taken between 3.45am and 5.20pm from the lower carpark of the station.

Electric scooter swiped

A car and electric scooter were stolen from a North Lakes home after the owners are believed to have left a door unlocked.

Police say the theft happened between 9pm on June 12 and 4.45am on June 13 at a Grebe Circuit property.

The resident woke to find the garage door open, the family car and an electric scooter stolen and a wallet and keys missing from the kitchen bench.

It is believed a door was left unlocked after the resident took the rubbish out.

Cards from the wallet were used for purchases at services stations in Caboolture and North Lakes.

The stolen car is a white Hyundai Tucson with Queensland registration 887-WCX.

Drug charges

Four people have been arrested on 10 drug charges in the Woodford area after police executed a number of warrants.

A 27-year-old Woodford woman was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a utensil from unrelated searches and is scheduled to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 16.

A 55-year-old Woodford man was charged with possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a utensil and unlawful possession of a weapon and is due in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 4.
