Movie in the Park Narangba is back on August 26 at Norfolk Lakes Park.

It will be an evening of family entertainment featuring the hilarious children’s movie The Bad Guys. Entry is free.

Bring picnic blankets and camping chairs and settle in for an evening of laughter under the stars.

Food trucks will provide plenty of options for dinner or a snack to eat during the movie.

The movie will start about 6pm but families are urged to arrive early to secure their spot in front of the big screen.

Once they’re all set up, children can head over to the free face painting activity before the feature film begins.

The Bad Guys (PG) is a family friendly movie that follows the story of a group of not-so-bad villains who want to do some good for a change.

Closed captions will feature on the screen during the film.

Movie in the Park Narangba is proudly presented by Moreton Bay Regional Council, delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) and supported by major sponsors Ausbuild and Moreton Daily.

Mayor Peter Flannery says Council is proud to deliver a record number of free community events across the city, with Movie in the Park events being a family favourite.

“We heard your calls for greater vibrancy and more activities in your suburbs and neighbourhoods, and we’re proud to continue to deliver on that,” Mayor Flannery says.

“Providing free entertainment, at a time when so many are doing it tough, is something Council is committed to because we know it’s one of the first things to go when discretionary spending is tightened.”

“These events bring our whole community together for a free and fun-filled evening out, so I encourage you to come along.”

Councillor Darren Grimwade (Div 11) says: “Norfolk Lakes Park at Narangba will be transformed into an outdoor cinema that’s completely free for locals, their friends and family on Saturday, August 26 from 5pm.
“We’ll be showing the action-packed animation The Bad Guys on the big screen, a favourite for kids of all ages.

“So, mark August 26 in your calendar and come along to enjoy a night of free entertainment in your local neighbourhood.

“Just pack your picnic rug, chair and blankets for a fun-filled family experience, plus there will be food trucks on site for delicious snacks throughout the evening.”
