The countdown is on to when Pine Rivers Park will transform into a magical Christmas wonderland on Sunday, December 18.
The Pine Rivers Park Christmas Carols event is on from 4-8pm. Entry is free.
It’s a chance to embrace the festive season with twilight markets, children’s activities in Santa’s Village, enchanting live entertainment and carols, and a dazzling fireworks finale.
Pine Rivers Park Christmas Carols will be the final signature carols event in the Christmas Moreton Bay Program.
A highlight for the little ones will be Santa’s Village. This zone is filled with a range of free and low-cost children’s activities including craft activities, face painting, Christmas llamas, giant snow globe and of course the chance to meet Santa.
Arrive early to secure the best spot in front of the Ausbuild Main Stage and sing along with thousands of others in a spectacular concert with music by local community groups as well as the popular Baker Boys Band.
Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) CEO and Founder Shane Newcombe says he can’t wait for the biggest Christmas event of the season.
“This event is a favourite for many as it provides an opportunity to celebrate the festive season with the local community and enjoy a host of free entertainment,” Mr Newcombe says.
“I couldn’t think of a better way to spread the holiday spirit than being entertained by local talent live on stage, with great food from our region’s best vendors and a bunch of fun, free activities for the children.”
Enjoy a family night out
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Peter Flannery is encouraging residents to pack a picnic blanket and camping chairs to make the most of the festive evening.
“Events like the Pine Rivers Park Christmas Carols are all about bringing our community together to share in the spirit of Christmas,” Mayor Flannery says.
“With a great program, a cheerful atmosphere and mighty fireworks display at the end of the night, these events really are a great asset to our community,”
Residents will be able to tick off their Christmas shopping at the twilight markets and grab a tasty treat from a range of gourmet food trucks throughout the evening.
Free parking will be available onsite at Pine Rivers Park. The Pine Rivers Park Christmas Carols is strictly an alcohol-free event.
Pine Rivers Park Christmas Carols is supported by strategic partner Moreton Bay Regional Council, major sponsors Ausbuild and Moreton Daily and gold sponsor Dominos.
