Free disability awareness training
Published 12:00pm 19 May 2023
Spinal Life Australia is offering a free Disability Awareness Training workshop for businesses in the Moreton Bay Region on May 24.
The workshop at Caboolture aims to raise awareness of the needs of people with a disability and how catering to these needs can create opportunities for businesses.
According to Spinal Life Australia, there are 4.4 million Australians living with disability and accessible venues earn 20-25 per cent more revenue than non-accessible businesses.
The workshop is a chance to hear from accessibility experts Dane Cross and Brendan Somerville, who will share their first-hand experiences of living with a disability and how businesses can help.
Dane and Brendan will also provide solutions for making venues and services more inclusive for everyone – and how businesses can reach more customers and employees.
The event is on May 24 from 2.30-4.30pm at Caboolture Hub, 4 Hasking St, Caboolture.
Admission is free.
