Gallery 2: Wild weather causes extensive damage

Moreton Bay locals have been getting out their phones and snapping the crazy weather and sharing it with others on their social media channels.

Many have shared their images with Moreton Daily to highlight how much damage has been caused by the ongoing rain and floods.

Gear destroyed at AFL club 

The Redcliffe Tigers AFL Club have shared the above photos which show the damage from the wild weather. 

They are without a ground after flooding inundated their Rothwell oval, destroyed gear kept in the changerooms and caused significant electrical issues that will require major repairs.

Kylie Milstead said the Nathan Rd ground is temporarily closed for maintenance and the club is looking at other options for training.

BMX Club to remain shut for months 

The Caboolture BMX Club have shared the above images which show their track and canteen destroyed following the flood.

President Shaun Batty expects the club will be closed for at least two months as they rebuild. 

The track needs to be done again, and they will need to purchase new fridges, freezers and fryers for the canteen, as well as new laptops, two-way radios, and decoders which are used to time the racers. 

The club have set up a Go Fund Me account to help with the costs. 

All hands on deck 

The clean up has begun at the Dayboro Dodgers Netball Club (above) with members bringing wheelbarrows, brooms, shovels and a gurney to get rid of the excess mud and water. 

Coming together in tough times 

Pure Tennis Ferny Hills shared the above images which shows club members pitching in to get the courts looking pristine again.

Show Society 'heartbroken'

Members from the Woodford Show Society shared the above images from their security cameras which shows how much water they had at their facilities. 

The photos also show houses underwater near Webb Lane. 

In a post online, the society said they were 'heartbroken' to see so much water.
