GALLERY: Large crowds gather in Redcliffe to honour our ANZAC's
Words by Ashleigh Howarth

The ANZAC spirit was in abundance at Redcliffe on April 25, as thousands of veterans, their families, and members of the community came together to celebrate one of the most important days in our nation's history.

Children proudly waved Australian flags and adults clapped while the procession made its way down Redcliffe Parade to Anzac Place, where a formal service was held at 10am.

Those in attendance braved the pouring rain and gusty winds that blew in during the middle of the service, knowing it was nothing compared to what our brave ANZAC's experienced on the shores of Gallipoli on April 25, 1915.

Thankfully, the blue sky returned for the wreath laying part of the ceremony, making for a spectacular splash of colour against the water.

Here are more pictures in a special gallery from photographer Stephen Archer.
