Generosity shines through

Momentum is growing for the inaugural Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day, Wednesday October 13, with local business and community groups creating a range of exciting fundraising events to kickstart the appeal.

Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day is being held in partnership with Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) Foundation to raise funds for hospital-led health research, evidence-based patient care programs, health education, innovative equipment and other initiatives.

RBWH Foundation CEO Simone Garske says support for the appeal has been overwhelming, with care provider BallyCara recently announced as the appeal’s first major corporate donor.

“BallyCara’s donation of $10,000 is an act of incredible generosity and shows how highly regarded Redcliffe Hospital is within the community for its commitment to patient care and dedication to life-changing health research,” she says.

BallyCara Executive Chairman Marcus Riley says the organisation is proud to continue a partnership with Redcliffe Hospital which has spanned the past few decades.

“We are pleased to enhance our collaboration with the Redcliffe Hospital supporting improved services to people in the region but also to grow research, education and other initiatives which make a positive impact in our communities,” he says.

GKS Law, The Komo and The Belvedere have also signed on as matched donors, ensuring every dollar donated by Wednesday October 13 will be doubled.

The Moreton Bay community can make a donation online, send a message of support for display on the Redcliffe Hospital Gratitude Tree or create their own Giving Day fundraising event. All funds raised support Redcliffe Hospital.
