Words by Nick Crockford

Looking for a special treat for mum and the family on Mothers’ Day? Check out the free Groovin in the Green.

This fun outdoor event will have live music, art and events for all ages at George Willmore Park in Ferny Hills.

Headlining the performers is singer/songwriter Ellen Reed, who made the top four of season five of The Voice, under superstar coach Jessie J.

There will also be The Ruby’s - Australia’s only all female corporate band - along with Maddy Thomas, Aria Cook and HILZ.

Visitors will also see Sparkle Society, a South-East Queensland touring collective, running circus workshops and performances.

Groovin in the Green will also have hands-on activities for children, food and drink, so mum doesn’t have to lift a finger.

A licensed area will be available to raise a well-deserved glass

Every mum will also have a chance to win a prize simply by turning up and entering a competition!

Groovin in the Green will do the heavy lifting on Mothers’ Day allowing families, friends and the community to enjoy the fun-filled day.

The event runs from 2-6pm and is free. All ages are welcome.

Groovin in the Green is presented by the City of Moreton Bay and delivered by Mask Events Australia.
