Griffin State School P&C Association Christmas Committee is organising its annual Griffin Santa Run on Saturday, December 2.

Santa and his elves will leave from the school at 8.30am and make their way to four local parks before heading to their final stop of the day at North Lakes Kangaroos Rugby League Club.

Make sure to keep an eye out for him on local streets, as he will venture to 10 areas in Griffin for 10-15 minutes for photos.

The Santa Run will stop at these four parks:

  • Victory Drive Park
  • Ultramarine Park
  • Lavender Park
  • Bray's Farm Park

Following the Santa Run, festivities will continue at North Lakes Kangaroos Rugby League Club from 1-3.30pm.

There hasn’t been a post Santa Run Christmas celebration for two years due to COVID-19 and wet weather, so this year’s celebration should be a delight for all involved.

Santa and his elves will take to the sporting complex to engage with the community while a variety of free entertainment and activities will commence.

All entertainment will be run by councillors and members of parliament who are supporting the event this year.

The activities include a free ice cream van, free sausage sizzle, an arts and crafts stall, a variety of games and field events and massages.

This year’s Griffin Santa Run is supported by Anytime Fitness, Deputy Premier Steven Miles, Deputy Mayor Jodie Shipway, Federal Member for Petrie Luke Howarth, Sorella Griffin, North Lakes Kangaroo’s JRLC and Retreat2Yous.

Follow the Facebook event page for live updates and more information.

North Lakes Kangaroos Rugby League Club is at Griffin Sports Complex, Henry Rd, Griffin.
