Looking for a laugh and a fun night out? Comedy is coming to North Lakes Hotel and Conference Centre this month, with award-winning stand-up genius Jeff Green bringing his trademark sharp wit to the venue for one night only.
Laugh Track Comedy’s Greg Fideler is teaming up with North Lakes Hotel to bring something new to the area, with British comedian Jeff Green’s show the first on September 20 from 7-9pm.
Green has been a much-loved presence on Australian TV and radio since he first hit our shores in 1996 for his debut Melbourne International Comedy Festival season.
Now an Australian resident, he is hugely in demand in Australia, the UK, Europe and Asia.
His stand-up comedy background includes a solo West-End season, three full length UK TV comedy specials, two Australian TV comedy specials, and countless appearances on TV gala specials and comedy panel shows both here and in the UK – including Spicks and Specks (ABC), Good News Week (Ten) and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala (Ten).
Fideler says the North Lakes show follows success he’s had with similar productions in Melbourne, and two runs of shows in Brisbane.
“In June, we had Peter Helliar and, last month, Tony Martin. All of the shows have sold out,” he says.
“We will be doing comedy shows regularly at North Lakes Hotel and Conference Centre, always with big names we bring in from interstate.
“I booked Jeff for September because he is as good as the reviews say he is - and that is fantastic!
“I reckon Jeff can tap into the British ex-pat demo in the Brisbane metro area. But essentially, he is just one of the best stand-up comedians in the world.
“The audience can expect a night of great food and drinks, world class comedy and laughs with your mates in a beautiful venue that is just around the corner.
“We will also be on the south side of town the night before (September 19) at the Wellers Hill Bowls Club in Tarragindi.”
Dinner and show packages are available from the Boardwalk Café at North Lakes Hotel for $65 (+booking fee). Find out more here. You will need a reservation at Boardwalk to guarantee service before the show. Phone 07 3180 2888.
Tickets just for the 18+ show only are $35 (+booking fee).
The show is on September 20 from 7-9pm at North Lakes Hotel and Conference Centre, 22 Lakefield Drive, North Lakes.
