Help shape Dolphins News

The team at Dolphins News is seeking feedback on the new community newspaper’s content, after a successful launch and four editions.

The newspaper is delivered free to 50,000 households across the Redcliffe peninsula, Deception Bay, Mango Hill, North Lakes and Griffin every fortnight.

It is published by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT) and produced by journalists with decades of experience in community journalism.

They have today launched an online survey seeking feedback from readers on the content they enjoy reading and what they would like to see included.

MBRIT CEO Shane Newcombe said the feedback would help shape Dolphins News and ensure readers’ community news needs are being met.

“We’re already receiving really positive feedback to the first four editions – the variety of content and positive approach to community news, but we want to know more,” Mr Newcombe said.

“We want to know what else readers want from their new community newspaper. This is their chance to tell us and shape Dolphins News as it continues to evolve.”

Mr Newcombe said he was also keen to hear from other communities not receiving Dolphins News.

“Many people across the Moreton Bay Region are telling us they want a local newspaper. It’s something we may consider, if the demand is there,” he said.

“So, if you want a community newspaper covering local news, people, events and sport, let us know.”
