Helping hand for Moreton Bay businesses

Seven small and family businesses in Redcliffe and Pumicestone have been selected for State Government Business Basics Grants.
They are: Get Brain Fit!, The Tapping Connection, Jymjunki, Sure Assessing, Larrikin Puppets, Your Legal Bookkeeper and Leaks Downunder.
Business Basics Grants support businesses through access to business advice or improve digital and marketing systems.
Recipients in the Redcliffe electorate are:
- Get Brain Fit! empowers individuals and organisations to optimise brain health.
- The Tapping Connection is a well-being business, focusing on emotional freedom techniques.
- Jymjunki is a small health and wellness brand for women
- Sure Assessing provides building and repair assessments to insurance builders.
From the Pumicestone electorate:
- Your Legal Bookkeeper specialises services for law firms and barristers across Australia.
- Leaks Downunder provides in pool leak detection from Bribie and Sunshine Coast to Brisbane and surrounding areas.
- Larrikin Puppets is an award-winning puppetry arts business specialising in children’s entertainment for ages 9 and under.
“Small business owners know every cent counts when you are starting out or need a helping hand to expand,” State Member for Redcliffe Kerri-Anne Dooley said.
“Our small and family businesses are the key to driving economic growth and we want to support our businesses to thrive for years to come.”
Ariana Doolan, State Member for Pumicestone, said funding will help local businesses get professional advice and services to grow.
“We are supporting businesses to increase their key capabilities, embrace inn ovation and capitalise on high growth opportunities” she said.
Small and Family Business Minister Steve Minnikin said the Business Basics Grants program was part of the Small and Family Business First Action Statement.
