Lunch to support ‘Forgotten Women’

The Forgotten Women will be front of mind during the Any Giving Tuesday Charity Lunch at Eatons Hill Hotel next month.

The event, on Tuesday, October 17, will be hosted by consultancy firm Any Given Tuesday and aims to raise more than $15,000 for The Forgotten Women charity.

The organisation supports vulnerable women aged over 55 years experiencing homelessness, the fastest growing homeless population in Australia.

Any Given Tuesday Founder Jacqueline Nagle says it will be the second charity lunch her North Lakes-based company has hosted, following last year’s inaugural event which raised $15,000 for A Brave Life – a charity which supports young mothers.

Jacqueline says tickets to this year’s function, which aims to be an afternoon of inspiration and connection, are on sale now.

“We are thrilled to host our second annual charity luncheon, once again bringing people together to make a profound impact by supporting our fellow women in need and showcasing the compassion and generosity of our community,” she says.

“With a personal experience with homelessness at a young age, it’s a feeling that never quite leaves you, and as I close in on being the same age as the greatest homeless population in our country, I knew that I had to work with The Forgotten Women for our 2023 Charity Lunch.”

All in-room fundraising will be paid directly to The Forgotten Women on the day along with proceeds from the event.

“With a mission to beat last year’s fundraising tally, we’ve got several fundraising initiatives happening during the luncheon including a number of great auction items up for grabs, such as a commission-free sale with the Damien Misso team from Ray White Woody Point,” Jacqueline says.

“There’s also our main fundraiser drive, which will be the ‘Help Her Home Pack’, a $100 kit that will be gifted to a woman as she moves into her new home, including brand-new linen and towels.”

Event to inspire, entertain

Tickets to the lunch are on sale now and include a two-course meal plus shared dessert platter, as well as a 3.5-hour drinks package.

The event will feature a fireside chat with The Forgotten Women CEO Teresa Reed and Jacqueline Nagle, and hearing from one of the biggest names in Australia’s entertainment industry, award-winning TV Producer Maz Farrelly.

“We’re so excited to be joined by our fabulous keynote speaker Maz Farrelly who has been the big boss of some of the world’s most iconic TV shows including The Celebrity Apprentice, Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother, and The X Factor,” Jacqueline says.

“I think the crowd is going to be widely entertained by Maz and enjoy the showbiz stories she has to share, and the lessons along the way.”
