Earthworks have started at the site of Moreton Bay region’s newest McDonald’s restaurant, which is now hiring staff.
There are vacancies for crew, barista, maintenance and management roles at the new $7.1 million McDonald’s at 868 Gympie Rd in Lawnton.
Around 120 jobs are being created in Lawnton and McDonald’s is also hiring for other restaurants across Moreton Bay.

McDonald’s Lawnton will be owned and operated by Gary Coyne, who joined the company as a licensee 29 years ago and now employs more than 950 people at nine outlets.
Mr Coyne has restaurants at Dakabin, Deception Bay, Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, North Lakes, North Lakes Business Park, North Lakes Westfield, Strathpine and Warner.
McDonald’s Lawnton will have modern décor and feature a dual lane drive thru, dedicated partner delivery room, McCafe and PlayPlace for customers to enjoy.
It will also have solar panels, a heat recovery water system and LED lighting, helping to reduce emissions and energy use in the restaurant.
