A family-run women’s clothing business born in Redcliffe, is about to launch its first stand-alone store on the peninsula waterfront.
The Lullaby Club is preparing to open on Redcliffe Pde, opposite the jetty, on Friday May 29 following a fitout of the premises.
A series of promotions and offers are planned for opening day and the following two days.
It was started by mother and daughter Kevina and Marisa Taschke, when Marisa was pregnant with her second child and dreaming of clothes to wear in motherhood.
The Lullaby Club has since grown from a humble home business to a national fashion brand stocked across the country.
“Opening our first store in Redcliffe is a full-circle moment,” owner/director Marisa said.
“This is the community that supported me from the very beginning and it felt right that this is where our doors open first.
“The Lullaby Club started from our shared love of fashion and a desire to create something that really supported women, especially mothers.
“We saw a gap in the market for pieces that were both beautiful and practical, something you could feel confident in while also being comfortable, whether you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or just navigating everyday life.”
Moreton Bay is a personal and business home for Kevina and Marisa, who were both born in this region, lived at Redcliffe for many years and are now in Burpengary.
“It’s very much a family business, which is something really special to us,” Marisa said.
“My sister is our general manager and has been a huge part of the brand’s growth and success.
“My sister-in-law, Kaira, is our marketing manager and even my dad is involved, helping pack orders.
“It’s truly a team effort and a big part of what makes the business what it is.”
The Lullaby Club’s designs include feeding access for breastfeeding, adjustable fits, soft fabrics and sizes AU 6 to 26.
“We design for every body, every season, and every stage, because style should never have an expiration date,” Marisa said.
