Max lands magnificent seven

Max Cunningham, the former Grace swimmer now with Churchie, produced a stunning display at the Brisbane Short Course Championships.

The North Lakes resident won five gold and two silver medals from eight races and clocked eight personal best times!

He won the 14 Year Boys’ 50m freestyle in 24.04 seconds, 100m freestyle 53.55 seconds, 50m butterfly 26.15 seconds, 100m butterfly 59.09 seconds (2.62 seconds inside his personal best) and 200m butterfly 2 minutes 14.98 seconds.

There were also silver medals in the 50m backstroke clocking 27.71 seconds and 100m backstroke 1 minutes 1.88 seconds.

Cunningham has also been named Vorgee Brisbane Senior Metropolitan Champion and Swimming Brisbane Junior Swimmer of the Year and the latter’s annual awards.
