Police have helped reunite Cashew, the four-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, with her carers at RSPCA Dakabin.

Officers from Petrie went to a north Brisbane residence this afternoon and were able to locate the poached pup.

She has since been returned and is now in the care of the RSPCA at Dakabin.

Cashew had been due to go home with new owners before being taken on Saturday leaving the Dakabin team “devastated”.

Police enquires into Cashew’s initial disappearance are ongoing.
