The Deception Bay community has created a touching tribute to Senior-Constable David Masters, who lost his life while on duty in June.
The brainchild of Moreton Bay Community Rocks Fairy Way administrators Natalie Poole and Hope Dobson, the memorial features a large stone adorned with pictures of Sen-Constable Masters, who was stationed at Deception Bay Police Station.
It’s surrounded by blue and white painted rocks decorated with white and blue checked ribbons to create a special place where the community can pay their respects.
Natalie says she and Hope wanted to show Sen-Constable Masters’ family how much his service to the community meant, and had also created a memorial stone for the Deception Bay Police Station.
“He did road safety with my daughter at Christ the King,” Natalie says.
“We thought on behalf of the community it was a way to say thank you for his service.”
